About the Authors
 | Michael Seul - is President of BioArray Solutions, a
high-tech venture he founded to develop miniaturized systems for
on-chip chemical analysis and biomedical diagnostics.
Previously, during a decade-long tenure at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Dr.
Seul established an internationally recognized research program on
pattern formation in thin organic and magnetic films. |
 | Lawrence O'Gorman - Is a Research Scientist at Avaya Labs,
Basking Ridge, NJ, where he works on security and authentication
systems. Previously, Dr. O'Gorman was Chief Scientist and
co-founder of Veridicom, Inc., a spin-off of Lucent Technologies which
developed biometric authentication systems for personal access.
Before this, he was a Distinguished Member of Staff at Bell
Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, where he performed research in pattern
recognition and image processing. Dr. O'Gorman is a Fellow of
the IEEE and a Fellow of the International Association for Pattern
Recognition. |
 | Michael J. Sammon - Is a Research Scientist at Avaya Labs,
Basking Ridge, NJ, where he develops new applications and services for
Personal Wireless Networks. Previously, he was a Technical
Manager in the Optical Networking Group at Lucent Technologies,
Liberty Corner, NJ. Mr. Sammon started his career at Bell
Laboratories, Murray Hill, NJ, where he developed image analysis
software to investigate pattern formation in organic thin films. |
